Return Policy

1. Overview

At Steel Bay Containers, customer satisfaction is our top priority. We strive to provide high-quality new and used shipping containers, delivered safely and on time.

Because our products are large industrial items, please read our return policy carefully before purchase.

2. Returns Eligibility

  • New Containers:
    New containers can be returned within 7 calendar days from the delivery date if they arrive damaged beyond acceptable limits or defective.
  • Used Containers:
    Due to the nature of used containers (sold “as-is”), returns are generally not accepted unless the container has undisclosed, severe structural damage not mentioned in the product description.
  • Custom Orders:
    Custom modifications or special orders cannot be returned or canceled after production begins.

3. How to Initiate a Return

    - Order number
    - Photos and detailed description of the issue
    - Delivery date and location
  3. Our team will evaluate your claim and provide return instructions.

4. Return Process and Conditions

  • Returned containers must be in the same condition as delivered (except for the reported defects).
  • Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is due to our error or damaged goods.
  • Refunds will be processed within 14 business days after receiving and inspecting the returned container.
  • Refunds will be issued to the original payment method.
  • Shipping fees (both to and from your location) are non-refundable unless due to our error.

5. Damaged or Incorrect Items

  • Inspect the container upon delivery and note any damages on the bill of lading or delivery receipt.
  • Contact us immediately with photos and documentation.
  • We will arrange a replacement, repair, or refund depending on the issue.

6. Non-Returnable Items

  • Containers sold “as-is” without warranties
  • Containers modified or altered by the buyer
  • Containers damaged due to improper use or handling after delivery
